PMBI is the implementing agency of the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP). Established in December 2008 under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India, PMBI operates as an independent society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The bureau adheres to GFR 2017, CVC guidelines, and instructions issued by the Department of Pharmaceuticals.
